Spaceballs: The Raid is looking for members to fill out a Mythic
roster for Warlords of Draenor. Spaceballs is part of the Better
Part of Valor guild and all Spaceballs members must be a part of
the guild in order to raid.
Who are the Better Part of Valor? We are an Alliance guild located
on the NA-US server Elune. Our guild has members who enjoy all
aspects of WoW: We have serious pet collectors, achievement point
fanatics, serious alt-ers, and even people who love to smush Horde
face. Above all else, we are a guild who enjoys each other's
company.
Spaceballs: The Raid has been together since Cataclysm with many
members having experience starting in Vanilla. Led by Turniphead,
we are a close knit group of friends who want to see content as
soon as it's out. We are achievement driven and want to complete as
much of the relevant content as soon as possible, but within our
limitations. We are not going to be a realm first raid. We may not
even be a top 5 raid. We want to have fun in our raids and we will
not spend 4 weeks learning one boss fight if it is not within reach
right now. With that being said, our success in Mists while content
was current is as follows:

here are the details about our raid:
Raiding Times: Sunday 9pm-12am server and Thursday 10pm to 12am
server. Please understand that we may have to extend our raid
lockout to get content down in the shorter time frames we have.
Loot System: a /roll in the DBAD fashion.
1. Don't Be A D*ck and loot everything. We are in this as a
team.
2. We favor having everyone get their 1st set bonus first before
continuing to the 2nd set bonus
Attendance: We expect consistent attendance, showing up on-time and
prepared to go. We expect you to inform us about future absences as
early as possible. Getting burned out? Let us know sooner rather
than later, so we can make changes to our roster if necessary.
Cognition: Please be cognitive and sober for the run. We have a
different raid for the good ole drunk times on Friday that everyone
and anyone can participate in.
Communication: We use a Mumble server and expect you to participate
in communicating raid strats, positionings, and other issues as
they arise during the raid.
Preparation: We expect you to take the time outside of the raid to
stock up on consumables (food, flasks, potions, etc), go over some
strats, and ensure that your latest upgrades are properly enchanted
and gemmed. Repairs are covered within reason.
Situational Awareness: FIRE IS BAD, MMMK? This also ties into being
focused during the raid. Turn off the TV and record Game of Thrones
ahead of time, put the kids to bed, walk your dog ahead of time,
finish family dinner early, etc.
Sitting: We are running a roster of 25. This means there will be
times where you may be sitting. While we are learning new content,
we may favor better prepared people over you. These decisions
include gearing, preparedness, and mastery of their class. We will
keep a tally of who has sat every week and ensure that you will see
the content. If there are no volunteers for sitters, we will let
the RNG gods determine it through a /roll.
Roster Needs: Exceptional players are always valued higher than a
class we are missing. While we would ideally love to have one of
each class represented in our Mythic raid, what we value more is
the player. This is what we are looking for to fill out our
raid:
