Many of our players have been playing WoW since its initial launch
in 2004 and as such the use of the word family isn’t an
exaggeration, this is our virtual family. We are a tight-knit group
of players that enjoy the challenge and focus of Mythic raiding but
have never abandoned the fun, the laughs, and the social aspects of
MMO gaming.
RECRUITMENT
The classes/roles listed above are always up to date with our
recruitment needs, exceptional applications from other
classes/roles will however always be taken under consideration. We
value performance, commitment, and a generally open and social
attitude above all else (not necessarily in that order). If you're
good, regardless of your class or role, we'll find room for
you.
Due to the inherent complexities of raiding with 20 players we need
to carefully consider if and how applicants will fit into our team.
As such we ask that all applicants take the time to make a complete
and detailed application. Dazzle and impress us because we like to
be WoW-ed.
Should you be invited to the guild, your trial period will last for
a minimum of 2 weeks. Our recruitment officer and raid leader will
contact you after 1 week for a halfway evaluation to let you know
how it is going. During these 2 weeks it is important that you be
present as much as possible. Show us what you can do in a raiding
environment, and show us that you fit into our family in a social
environment.
All trialists are expected to turn up to raids fully prepared with
consumables appropriate to their class and to have their gear and
spec fully optimised. Keep in mind that we are raiding
Heroics/Mythics and you will be thrown in the deep end so to
speak.

LOOT DISTRIBUTION
Ascension operates and distributes loot via a loot ratio with
council type system. Raiders will receive loot based on their
attendance in raids and the number of recent items received. On a
case by case basis the Loot Council will assign gear to raiders for
the benefit of the team as a whole. Ascension raiding is about the
team as whole achieving its goals, not individual raiders getting
shiny purple pixels. While our main raiders will have priority of
loot over trialists we firmly believe that putting in the effort to
raid with us results in eligibility of loot. Additionally we cannot
efficiently judge performance if our trialists never receive gear.
So as long as you put in the effort you will be eligible for the
fruits of your labor.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ASCENSION
Ascension is a virtual family of like minded players. If you join
us you can expect a friendly, welcoming and relaxed social
atmosphere. There is usually a lot going on in the form of Guild
Heroic Scenarios and Dungeons, old content farming, achievement
runs, flex and alt raiding. Above all there are always lots of
laughs.
Ascension will also offer you a very focused and serious raiding
experience. We raid progression, and as such offer a challenging
environment to sharpen your skills. While we expect a lot from our
raiders in terms of focus, commitment and preparation such
expectations are always rewarded. Our results speak for
themselves.
Ascension provides its raiders with the very best in terms of food.
Guild repairs will usually also be activated during progression
nights.
