About Us
Overture was founded on March 11, 2013 as a result of a merger
between Uprising of Aerie Peak & Gamble of Mal'ganis. From the
start our goal was simply to harvest the best possible raiding
roster between our two guilds but since we merged, we have become
much more. We are a group of progression orientated, like-minded
group of players that seek to remain a very competitive guild with
our sights focused in the top 10 US raiding scene while managing to
maintain our real lives under a semi-hardcore raiding schedule.
Expectations:
We are only as strong as our weakest link, and so we hold new
members to the same standards that we hold ourselves:
1) We raid from 8-12 EST, Sunday through Thursday. Expect extra
hours when new content is released or for end of boss tiers (We
always do a guild vote to determine if and when we add hours onto
our normal raid schedule). We run a lean roster and expect our
members to show up every night.
2) When you do show up, you must also be prepared to raid. That
means repaired, flasked, and fully stocked with consumables; it
also means doing research when we're facing a new boss.
3) You must be able to take criticism, to learn, and to adapt. We
are a cutting-edge progression guild, and often invent our own
strategies. You will be judged on how quickly you can learn
fights.
4) Know your class. No matter how good your personality is, or how
dedicated you are, you will be expected to perform at the highest
level consistently.
5) Don't be anti-social. We take pride in our community, and
trials are given an immediate chance to socially integrate
themselves into our guild from the moment they join. Embrace the
community; it is the reason the majority of us still play this
game.
Though we are most heavily recruiting the above classes,
exceptional players are always welcome to apply.
