Hello,
<Tears of Vengeance>, founded shortly after WoW’s release, is
one of Kargath's most-established and warmest guilds. We don't
often publicly recruit, but we are now looking to add another great
person to our community; particularly, we're looking to add a range
DPS to our Blue raid team.
About ToV: Our main goal is to build a community that
fosters strong relationships and enhances our members' lives. We
think of ourselves as more than just a guild, but as a bit of a
family; most of our members have been with us for years, and many
of those who leave our community eventually miss it and come back
home (we also boast one of the most active web communities of any
guild - members have made well over 135,000 (and counting) posts on
the ToV website!). More than any boss kill, we take pride in times
we've been there for members who've had real life crises.
About the raid team: B.L.U.E. is a
progression-based raid team who is 14/14N in SOO as of October 31,
2013; we are currently composed of 11 members that raids 3 times
per week (Wed, Thur, Sun) from 7:45pm-11:30pm (EST). Our philosophy
is that sitting one person a night is better for the team then
cancelling raids when somebody is unable to attend so we look for
volunteers to sit when we have more than 10. It should be noted
that we are not recruiting a benchwarmer, we are looking for
someone who will have the same opportunities as our long-time
members. We have team members who are married, have kids, jobs,
etc. We have a lot of raid experience and to varying degrees a lot
of experience raiding with each other. The majority of our team's
raid history together dates back to Vanilla WoW with a few then in
Wrath and Cata. This team has had the same raid leader since it was
created at the start of Cata after experience as a raid leader for
our 25man team pre-Cata. We balance progression with having a good
time, plan ahead by taking nights off on big holidays, understand
that people have real lives and adjust accordingly. We have low
turnover (and low burnout) because above all, we raid to have fun
with guildmates whose company we genuinely enjoy.
Please see

more information, including expectations and loot policy.
What you can expect from ToV:
We are a democratic guild. If you join, you will have the
opportunity to help shape our future. The Guild Master and the
major officer positions are decided by election, and any major
decisions are brought to a guild vote.
We say "if one member has a problem, the guild has a problem." We
won't always be able to please everyone, but we do our best to make
sure everyone's concerns are heard and responded to.
We will treat you with respect and see you as a person - not just a
class, a spec, and a pile of gear.
If you join us, you join our community; if at some point you can no
longer raid, we will NOT remove you.
We try to keep together friends and family. We cannot promise that
your friends and family will be able to raid regularly with us, but
we can promise they will get a chance to join our guild.
We will always respect the fact that your real life takes priority
over anything WoW-related. A good number of our members are couples
and/or parents; we know what peoples' priorities should be.
What we expect from our members:
That you be respectful to other players - not just fellow guild
members, not just members of the alliance faction.
That you realize loot isn't why we play this game. Even the best
items in WoW will be obsolete next expansion, but hopefully the
friendships you form and the memories you take will be with you for
years.
That you make an effort to get to know and go on runs with your
fellow guildmates (not just those that raid). We don't want people
who only log on during raid times.
That if/when you do come to a raid, you focus and do your best to
be prepared. This may sound like a progression-oriented
expectation, but it isn't; it is disrespectful to your fellow
guildmates to come to a raid and go afk or not pay attention.
That if you have criticisms/suggestions, you voice them in a
constructive fashion.
That you acknowledge you don't know everything and are willing to
take advice if it's offered to you in a constructive fashion. We
would rather take an okay player that's willing to learn and has a
great attitude than a good player who thinks he's God's gift to
WoW.
