About Technique
<Technique> is a progression-oriented guild on Area 52, and
it was founded by members of <Akatsuki> on Uldum. During
Cataclysm, we acquired Realm First kills on Heroic Ragnaros and
Heroic Madness of Deathwing at a time where Uldum was a
medium-to-high population server, and much more competitive. Based
on the date of the Realm First Heroic Madness kill,
<Akatsuki> would have finished 10th on Area 52 raiding only 2
nights a week for 6 hours total. With the launch of Mists of
Pandaria came severe depopulation and a mass exodus of competitive
players from Uldum to other servers, which eventually forced us to
relocate and create <Technique> (formerly <Tickle my
Pickle>) here on Area 52. We've since crawled back into the
scene throughout MoP raiding, and now plan to maintain and continue
to elevate our place among the top on our server. Aside from mythic
raiding, we frequently raid on alternate characters, do previous
content, and PvP on off-nights.
We're different from other guilds because we raid fewer hours per
week than many fellow top 20 Area 52 guilds. We tend to have a more
laid-back environment without the raging, yelling, or severe
elitism often seen in similarly progressed guilds. Despite all of
that, we progress very quickly and in fewer attempts than many
equally and more progressed guilds.
Raid Times
The core group raids 9:30pm - 12:30am EST/server time on Tuesday,
Wednesday, and Monday nights. Attendance is expected to be
95%+.

Loot Rules
We will be returning to the EPGP system for WoD raiding, however it
is important to note that we have a loot council that can intervene
when necessary, but this is intended to be a rare occasion. Also,
raiders receive main spec loot over recruits, however if no raider
needs an item for their main spec, a recruit has priority over a
raider's off spec. The recruit period is typically 1-2 weeks after
joining the guild.
EP (earned points) are acquired by attending raid and contributing
to the guild bank via weekly turn-ins. These items may include
potions, flasks, feasts, and gems. A list will be updated regularly
with what is needed. Bonus EP may be provided to the raid for
progression boss kills.
GP (gear points) are acquired from winning a piece of loot for main
spec use. Each item has a pre-determined GP value set by the DKP
reloaded addon. We set the off spec value of an item to 10% of it's
full GP value.
PR (loot priority) is the ratio of EP to GP accumulated by the
player. If an item drops and multiple players desire it, the loot
master will choose the player with the highest PR and award it to
them. Your PR is positively correlated with your EP and inversely
related to your GP. In short, you want your EP to be as high as
possible by having good attendance and contributing to the guild
bank. GP values prevent any one individual from receiving
disproportionate amounts of loot.
Above all, we desire loot to be handled logically, impersonally,
and with with the entire team in mind, as progression – not loot –
is our ultimate goal. Frequently complaining about a teammate
winning loot or causing conflict over loot is heavily frowned upon
in this guild and will likely lead to that player's
replacement.

If you wish to apply for a raid spot, it is ESSENTIAL
(non-negotiable) that you have the following:

Parses of your raiding performance in current raids

Considerable progression experience in the current tier,
preferably within 3 bosses of our guild

Competitive gear capable of handling the bosses on which our
guild is currently progressing
It is preferred that you have proficiency with the other
specializations of your class, especially for hybrid classes.
