Avalon focuses on enriching the game through honor and cooperation.
We are one of the oldest guilds on Anvilmar, celebrating our fifth
anniversary as a guild in September of 2011. Over the years we have
had to change focus a lot to stay alive with all the changes in the
server, people’s needs, and the game itself. We have decided once
again to open our doors to those seeking a fun casual guild. We are
looking to add unique voices and personalities to the fun loving
group that already exists within Avalon. We are also interested in
raiders who would like to help us build from a 10 man team to a 25
man team. We have a very strong core, some who have been together
in game for five years. We love to have a good time and strive to
keep it drama free within our walls.
We have all the bells and whistles since we are a level 25 guild
that has had a lot of years to establish all the goodies that come
along with being in a guild. We have a strong leadership team
always ready and willing to help out with information, quest
assistance, or advice. We have craftsmen skilled in every
profession in the game. And most of our players are skilled in a
variety of different classes and specs. Our vent servers can become
very lively. While we are certainly not a PG guild, we always ask
that you address each other with respect. We utilize the best
resources available on the web to level, grind, gear, and play our
toons. We’re always happy to direct others to the best resources
for their needs.
We are a group of fun-loving, hardworking individuals who love to
*** off steam with active PvP, both in small groups and large guild
pre-mades. We also have an elite raiding team within our ranks.
While raiding is not a requirement or even a given with membership
to Avalon you can always apply directly to the raiding team. Or if
you develop an interest in raiding once you are a member of Avalon
you can speak with the raid leaders about trying out for the
teams.
The majority of our raiders have been together for a long time and
the social aspects of raiding are as important to us as
progression. We require you have a working microphone and are
willing and capable of being verbal on vent. A fun loving,
intelligent banter can be as beneficial to a raid as a new
strategy. We ask that you demonstrate mastery of your class and
raiding in general. You should be the type to do research on your
own of your role for each specific fight and to listen well to any
raid leader explanations that are given. Be the type that doesn’t
make the same mistake twice and is willing to learn and grow in
your class/role.
We do not require a heavy raiding schedule like many hardcore
raiding guilds. We focus on 3 nights a week of progression content.
We require our raiders to show respect to their teammates by
showing up 15 minutes prior to raid time prepared, repaired, on
vent, and with a working knowledge of the fights we will be
attempting that night. We do not use a DKP system but rather an
equitable looting system developed over years of raiding together.
This system allows for the best use of each piece of gear and the
most possible gearing of players each week. Recruits and
probationary members will not have rolling status until they are
made full members of the team. However, if an item is unwanted by
our team members they will have the opportunity to roll on it. We
also tend to favor recruit main set over member offset. Once you
achieve raiding member status you will have full rolling status and
access to guild provided flasks, food, gems, enchants, and guild
repairs.
Whether you are interested in joining a fun active social guild, or
you are interested in raiding with Avalon, we want to hear from
you. Please fill out an application here on our website and feel
free to find an officer in game to discuss any questions you might
have. We look forward to meeting you!
