Solid applicants of any class and spec will be seriously
considered. What we are typically looking for in applicants
are:
- Solid DPS (e.g. 80%+ of rank without scumbagging)
- Strong DPS hybrids (DPS/Heal or DPS/Tank, not Tank/Heal)
Like most raids, we generally have a preference for ranged DPS.
Good melee apps are always welcome, but will be judged against a
higher standard.
Valiant is a 20 player Mythic raid guild that puts in 3 focused
nights for a total of 9 hours a week. This is a light raiding
schedule compared to many, yet in that time we clear a lot of
content.
For raiders with more time on their hands & our social members,
we normally start arranging weekend alt raids later in each tier.
Our long history & diverse member base also means we're an
active guild with people online nearly 24/7.
Valiant has been a raid guild for 8 years now, originally forming
as a CST timezone guild on Khaz'goroth (Oceanic) before
transferring to Blackhand in late Burning Crusade. We spent our
first 6 years raiding the 25 player format before shifting to 2x 10
player raids for MoP. With a re-combined 20 player Mythic group
we're looking forward to using this depth of experience in WoD.
So if you feel that you are an exceptional player, you like to read
about boss strategy and watch frapped videos for fun, if you like
to min-max, if you farmed like mad for your Darkmoon card, or if
you just like to be good at what you do then you'll find others
like yourself in Valiant.

Who are we...
- We are a mature end game raiding
guild. Minimum age rules are in effect
- We aim for steady progression based on a reasonable raid
schedule. Quick focused pulls and an adaptable raid are more fun
than countless hours of inefficient grinding.
- We are a mythic oriented guild. We do not run normal or heroic
content during main raid hours, except during early gearing
stages
- We are not a high turnover guild. We have been a guild for over 8
years (founded in Oct '06)
What are our raid start times?
- Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday, 8pm
- 11pm CST
- An optional social/alt/gearing run on Saturdays (normal or
heroic), from 8pm CST
- Depending on demand from the raid members, we may irregularly do
an additional night. This is more likely at the start of a
tier.
What we want from you..
- Ventrilo (microphone strongly
preferred as well)
- Raid mods: Omen, DBM/BigWigs. WeakAuras 2 is strongly
recommended.
- Ability to follow the raid/role leader's instructions, accept
guidance and direction
- A stable connection. If you disconnect from the game or Internet
regularly you should upgrade with your ISP before applying.
- Dedication to the success of the guild. This includes equipping
yourself outside raids (running normals/heroics or crafting
upgrades where appropriate), farming potions/consumables, having
the required mods installed and functioning, etc.
- "Never Give Up" attitude. Some encounters will be a learning
phase where wipes are common. We want players that are focused and
determined.
What we don't want from you...
- Inactivity without prior notice
- Drama
- Coming to raids unprepared. (i.e with inadequate potions/flasks
or having not read the boss strategy)
- Arrogance (If you think you're the best, actions speak louder
than words)
What you get if you join...
- Current loot distribution is EPGP
for mythic content, and either personal or mainspec prioritized
roll for normal/heroic
- A mature guild with focus, talent and direction
- Mentoring available if required for successful applicants. We
expect our members to commit to the guild and in return the guild
commits to its members
- Members are allowed alts within the guild
Trial members
- are required to be active
- are encouraged to participate in guild related activities besides
raids, it is in your own interest to let us get to know you
- are required to communicate with officers and use the website
forum whenever absences occur
- are to be hunting for upgrades (i.e. normal/heroic gear, crafted
items) to show their commitment to the guilds progression and speed
their own gearing
- are required to communicate with other people in their class to
understand up coming encounters
Still interested?
- We will contact successful
applicants in-game for a short interview and possibly include a
trial raid
- You can contact Lakhesis, Nimlah, Brambleberry, Healingzilla,
Kikiel, Sevenfold or any of our members in game with any
questions
- You can check out our Warcraft Logs page
(http://www.warcraftlogs.com/guilds/100) if you wish to see what
content we're currently working on
