<Snaginanesh> was formed at the release of Cataclysm on
Outland with the ambition of being a 10-man guild that would clear
all current content on heroic without raiding every day of the
week. The guild mainly consists of players who have known each
other for years, with a few new recruits who have joined recently.
We have a mixture of nationalities in the guild and expect every
member to be able to read, write and speak English well. The guild
have a pretty mature population with most of the people in the
guild in their early to mid twenties, and a few youngsters at the
age of 18.
During Cataclysm, we killed everything in the first raiding tier on
heroic while it was current content except the end bosses. In
firelands, we have Ragnaros HC in the last phase in the last week
of the tier, and we finally managed to get him down a few weeks
into the next tier. In Dragonsoul we cleared everything up until
Deathwing on heroic, at which point a few people burned out and a
decided to cool the raiding until MoP.
With MoP releasing we were keen to get a good start on the tier,
but the queues on Outland hindered this, as people were waiting as
long as 6 hours in queue to get into the server. This soon became
unbearable and a few weeks into MoP we migrated to Al'Akir.
We enjoy a relaxed atmosphere in the guild with lots of friendly
bashing, but during raids focus on progression is required and we
do not tolerate people randomly going afk or not listening to vent.
We pride ourselves in being quick to get back to the boss after a
wipe, figuring out what went wrong, adjust and go again.
This disciplin is important, as we only raid 9 hours a week. The
raid days are Thursday, Monday and Tuesday, each day
19.30-22.30. The raiding team in the guild is kept small to
ensure we have most of the same people for each raid to aid our
progression by not having to relearn the fight every night because
we replaced half the team. This also means that we expect our
members to show up for practically every raid. However, being such
a small roster also means that you will get to raid in our guild as
we are not recruiting people to be benched.
Our members are of course expected to show up for raids on time,
bringing their own consumables (although the guild provides feasts,
missing it won't be an excuse for not having a food buff when we
pull), be repaired, and having gemmed, enchanted, and reforged the
gear appropriately. Furthermore, we expect our members to have
studied whichever fight(s) we will be progressing on for the raid
night.
We realize that communication is the key to many successful kills,
and we expect every raider to have a microphone and be able to call
out on vent should anything unexpected occur, when a significant
raid debuff is placed on you etc, while also knowing when to be
quiet and listen to the raid leader.
For loot distribution we use the EPGP system, where you gain effort
points (EP) for raiding, and each piece of gear is assigned a gear
point (GP) value. When a gear piece is won, the GP value is added
to the player's GPs, and a quotient of EP/GP is calculated. The
player with the highest quotient will have the highest priority on
gear, meaning the player who has put in the most effort while being
rewarded the least has priority on gear.
Currently, we are looking to add a good dps player (preferably with
a healing offspec) as well as a competent healer to the team. We
expect you to be reasonably geared for T15 normals so that won't
hold back our progress.
