Raiding philosophy
Our guild raiding style is blind raiding, or
spoiler-free raiding if you will. If this style sounds
appealing to you, read on.
Our raiding style means that we will not be using pre-written
tactics or videos unless we get stuck. We want the adventurous
feeling of going in and not know beforehand what to do. So, when on
a new boss, what happens is that we briefly discuss the important
abilities listed in the dungeon journal, then we give it a go, and
start building the strategy based on what we learn. Everyone can
contribute.
Our guild is a mature guild, with most people on the raiding
team being 25+ of age and having family and kids. As such, we have
a group that is a bit larger than usual. This is to ensure we will
always be able to raid, and people never feel forced to meet
up.
Our target audience players are retired hardcore players, as
we want a serious raiding environment but only raid 2 to 3 times
per week. Less experienced people are always more than welcome
but you are expected to make an effort to become on par with your
fellow raiders in time.
We expect mutual respect from all people in the team.
Minimum whining. People should be able to handle any
criticisms going their way without going emo mode. Also, everyone
should be able to handle heated discussion. Control your temper and
save your emotional outbursts. Abuse is never tolerated.
Currently we raid 3 days a week. One day is to gear up on Normal
and the other two days are for Heroic progression, making our
roster look like this:
Thursdays (19.45-23.00): Normal Highmaul
Mondays (19.45-23.00): Heroic Highmaul
Tuesdays (19.45-23.00): Heroic Highmaul
Also gear is not important for joining our raid team, but
dedication and willingness to perform/learn is.
