We are a casual 10 man raiding guild of friends. We currently use
Main Spec free roll system with master loot on, for loot. We are
always recruiting new members to the guild even if it's just to do
dungeons together, PVP, level with each other, or chat. When WoD
comes out we are planning to use the flex function to allow more
friends and guild members to raid progression. Assuming they have
the gear and skill.
History:
The guild started off as Ara Noctis back in classic wow and raided
Molten Core and ZG. In BC the guild had a change in lead which also
had the guild change its name to Friday Knights. Friday Knights
started off as a guild on Arthas Back in May 2007 during the
Burning Crusade. The guild saw up to Mount Hyjal. The time between
BC and Wrath the guild had another shift in leadership and changed
its name to Of the Whale. As times changed and the search for new
raiders lead us to Arygos and October 2010. There the guild
combined with another guilds. After some time Friday Knights was
reborn. During The Wrath of the Lich King we downed most of the
content on 10 player normal mode including Yogg-Saron and the Lich
King. In Cataclysm we where 7/7 firelands normal mode post nerf and
8/8 dragon soul normal mode pre-nerf. We also where 1/8 heroic mode
for DS. On 12/29/12 Friday Knight was renamed to Kinght Seraph and
returned to Arthas and not much later, due to complains from guild
members we changed it Again on July 27th 2013; to Ward of Dawn. In
Mop we downed all of MSV before the nerf, but we did not really
start raiding ToT until 5.3. We where able to down 7/12 bosses in
ToT before the nerf. We also got ahead of the curve for SoO normal
mode and got Immerseus down on Heroic.
Other Info:
We use Mumble and require it for raids.
Only addon we require is Deadly Boss Mod or similar.
What Type of Guild are we?

In WOD we will be doing Heroic Raiding but most likely not
Mythic
We will also have a night of Normal raiding in WOD. The type of
group we will use for it is:
"Friends and Family groups: These are social groups that exist for
reasons besides raiding, but whose players would like to venture
into raid content together. This type of group is inherently
inclusive, and will not organize its roster according to specific
class needs, nor is the group likely to criticize or remove players
based on performance. Members of this type of group prioritize

Raid Etiquette:
We prefer having 2 different Tanking classes when raiding. We also
expect both tanks to have a DPS off-spec.
We will 2 or 3 (Next Expac it will be 1 healer for each 5man group
in the raid with the option of one extra) heal depending on the
raid and raid make up. We prefer having each healer to be a
different class. We also expect healers to have a DPS spec (unless
your a priest who is a Holy and Disc). Also the Druids and Shamans
we expect them to use the range DPS spec for there offspec.
Currently due to Raid balance we prefer use 2 melee and 3-4
ranged.(Next expac) Most likely we will scale the amount of Melee
Dps vs Range DPS as 1:2. So 1 melee dps for every 2 ranged. Unless
Blizzard changes there design to balance melee or make melee
prefered.
