Darkness Rising a semicore raiding guild with focus on endgame
content. The social aspect of the guild is highly balanced with our
passion for raiding.
We currently have 2x 10-man teams running, all aiming for and is
doing heroic progress.
About us:
Darkness Rising is a serious raiding guild, aiming to clear all
Heroic content. Several of our members have been with us since the
creation of the guild. We pride ourselves on creating an atmosphere
where having fun and raiding as much as possible, goes hand in
hand. We believe that the key to success lies in ensuring that our
members enjoy the time they spend in the game, be it on pull 150 of
an “impossible” boss, on an easy farm-run.
Stability: Darkness Rising is a very stable guild - a large
proportion of the members within the guild have been in Darkness
rising for years.The guild community is close, everyone in the
guild knows why they are there and everyone shares the same goal.
The amount of members that have voluntarily left the guild to go
elsewhere can be counted on one hand, once you are in Darkness
Rising you will not leave. Darkness Rising is the one of the most
stablest guild, on the Realm.
About you:
You're looking for a progress oriented guild, because you enjoy
working hard to be the best. You know your class inside out and
you're highly motivated and competitive and in it for the long
haul. Giving up is not an option.
At the same time, you're interested not just in your own epics, but
also the lives of your fellow guild mates. We expect you to
establish a friendly and healthy relationship with your fellow raid
mates, and of course other guild members. Making an effort to keep
ventrilo and guild chat lively is highly appreciated.
This includes:
[*] Skill. You need to know what you are doing, both with
regards to optimizing the performance of your own character and in
terms of functioning in a team.
[*]Dedication. You need to be willing to spend hours and
hours raiding, to go on when most others would quit. What we do
most of the time is progressing(aka lots of wipes), and if this is
a problem for you, then don't bother applying. If you are a Guild
hopper, don´t waste your time and our time. If you don´t think
making effort to research your class, and encounters is not worth
the time; don´t bother applying. In short we are looking for
players that loves and enjoy raiding, and can be asked to do the
work that comes with it aswell.
[*]Communication. You need to be able to both listen and
talk on ventrilo. You also need to be able to handle criticism,
both giving and receiving.
[*]Social intelligence. We spend a lot of time together, and
for everyone to be able to have a good time it is important that
you know how to interact with other people without causing too much
tension.
In addition to the above points, previous experience with endgame
raiding is always a big plus, in our book. Other base qualities
that are not included, such as being punctual and honest are also
obviously requirements.
As our raiding core consists of both students, unemployed and
employed people, our raiding times are set so as to make it
possible to both play on a high level in WoW and keep a job or
succeed at school. During progress we raid 3 days per week, from
19:30 going on to around 23.00. If we feel we are close to a kill,
we sometimes add an extra raid day, either Monday or Tuseday; based
on which day the majority of the raid group can make it.
Offical raid times:
Wednesday: 19:30-23:00
Thursday: 19:30-23:00
Sunday: 19:30-23:00
