zZq is currently recruiting ranged DPS and healers for current
heroic progression with an eye towards Mythic raiding in 6.0 and
WoD.
zZq is one of the oldest guilds on the server (established 2005).
Some of us have been raiding together since the halcyon days of
Molten Chore. We are a casual heroic guild, meaning we raid for 3.5
hours a week, 3 days a week (7-10:30 CST Tue/Thu/Sun). We've
traditionally had a small core of raiders with high attendance. I
dislike having to ask people to sit out for an evening, and smaller
raid groups make for high loot density, which is more fun for
everyone.
At this point in the raid cycle your current level of gear matters
less than your desire to raid, commitment to show up, ability to
perform, capability to improve, and how well you fit in with the
raid group. Our members range in age from can't-legally-drink to
has-children-that-can-drink. Raids are generally relaxed and
enjoyable affairs: we have no patience for unconstructive
nerdraging or casual racism or sexism. Our only guild rule is:
Don't be a Jerk.
We are looking for people who are looking for long-term homes; who
want to push progression but not at the expense of IRL or having to
raid with jerks. We would still like to push progression for the
months we have left in SoO, but long-term higher priority is
looking to bolster our ranks for mythic raiding in WoD.
We are currently seeking ranged DPS and/or healers. Boomkin or mage
would be ideal, but quality people trump class restrictions, in
general. For healers, Mistweaver, Resto Druid, Resto Shaman a plus,
but anything other than Disc Priest would be given careful
consideration.
