<Delusions of Grandeur> is Runetotem's home for serious
raiding on a casual schedule. We only raid 6 hours per week (Tue
& Thur 9PM-12AM server (Central) time), but we take that time
very seriously. We recognize that everyone's time is valuable, and
do our best not to squander a minute. Our hardcore approach with a
casual schedule yields many benefits:
- Nice progression on a short schedule. We accomplish in 6 hours
what many guilds take 12 hours or more to do. If you're like us,
you value those extra hours in a week to do whatever you want while
still getting your raiding fix in.
- We recognize that yelling does nobody any good. Mistakes are
identified and addressed, but nerdrage doesn't have a place in our
group.
- Everyone is treated as objectively as possible. I think we've all
been a part of groups that carried some subpar players through
content because they were married to an officer, or real life
friends with half the guild. Because our spots are open to
competition, this won't happen here. If you can't play, well, then
you can't play. ;)
- Catering to good players who value efficiency has a nice side
effect of steering intelligent & witty people our way. Yes, we
take raids seriously, but because of the great personalities in the
guild, the seriousness is still very fun. Jokes flow, lulz are had,
and balls are occasionally busted.
- The guild provides free flasks, feasts, and repairs.
- Even though we may not raid much, we really enjoy the game, and
there're usually quite a few of us on and about playing alts,
getting achievements, killing Alliance, or making sure those
directionless followers at our Garrisons have the proper guidance.
Whatever your other interests in the game, it's quite likely you'll
find some kindred spirits in DoG.
Current needs:
Good ranged DPS currently have a golden opportunity to slide
directly into our core group.
If you're melee DPS or a healer, our door is open to you as well.
Just know that competition is pretty tough here. But if you're up
for the challenge, we'd love to have you. :)
We're pretty set on tanks, but if a truly excellent applicant fell
into our laps, we'd have to take a look.
