NOTE: The massive list of classes above is misleading. We
are only recruiting two more members at the moment (though a larger
group could be considered). We're simply very flexible. Don't be
fooled!
Progression raiding with a twist: Positivity. Top 10 server is the
goal and it will be the reality.
Ashes is recruiting for 20 man Mythic progression raiding. This is
a CORE position. We have a few spots left to fill (not 10+ as some
guilds need). You'll be joining a solid raid group with history
back as far as WotLK.
We are currently looking for the following:
1 Boomkin, Warlock, OR Shadow Priest
There is only ONE spot open. An exception might be made for
a pair of players.
Please have experience being a core member of a long-term raid
group. Experience with most encounters this expansion is a plus. A
previous history of high-end raiding is strongly suggested.
Our raid schedule is Tues, Weds, Sun 7-10pm server time.
Why Ashes?
We try to foster a friendly, competitive atmosphere focused on
learning, teamwork, progression, and efficiency. Now, many other
guilds will say they do this...they don't. We do not tolerate
berating other members of the raid when they make mistakes. We do
not belittle our raiders.
However, that does not mean that we tolerate players who drag the
raid down. We will always work with players who are making
mistakes, identify why, and create a solution. It's up to the
players to work with that solution. If they are unable to perform
at a high standard, they will be removed from the raid until they
can fix their errors. Everyone's time is valuable and we
will not tolerate one raider wasting everyone else's time.
That mentality is the only way our raid environment can
operate.
Having a positive attitude is extremely important. The grueling
environment of many other guilds is a definite negative for many
raiders. When players aren't having as much fun, they're going to
perform worse. We want to be a guild you log into for raid and are
excited to be in. If you do that, you're going to perform better
and the raid will be better.
If the only reason you want to raid is to gear your character and
your comrades could be anonymous drones as long as they performed
well, press back in your web browser. You will get the dedicated
progression, but you'll have a good time every night when you log
in as well.
Our Goal?
At the very least, top 10 on the server for Mythic 20-man
progression. Ideally even higher than that. We will be competitive.
Completion of the tier on Mythic will be a given for this
group.
What About You?
1. You need to be willing to learn outside of the raid. We'll tell
you how to do our strategies for them, and give you a little
leniency, but you are generally expected to master our farm fights
quickly. It is possible - people have done it. Quick learning is
possibly the most important attribute you can have.
2. You need to be adept at mastering your class and role. If you're
the type that must play X spec regardless of what that means for
the raid, then you might not be the right fit. You'll never be
asked to master a role you weren't recruited for (though it's a
nice bonus, of course!), but, for instance, mages should be able to
play every single spec with little notice if need dictates. Note: I
do value personal preference still, so if two specs are close you
can pick either one.
3. Attitude. I can't stress enough that you need to be
positive.

Not On The Server?
That's ok! We allow trials to be trials without being on the
server. We'd never expect you to pay money to join a guild without
knowing it's for you. That said, to be promoted past trial you will
need to actually join the guild (and thus the server). You can't be
a raider in spirit.

Ashes offers free repairs, potions, flasks, and feasts to raiders.
Always accepting casuals/friends/standby raiders.
