We are open to extremely selective recruitment to ensure a
robust roster for our mythic core in Warlords of Draenor.
Note that we already have a strong roster, and are predominantly
looking to recruit those with meaningful, proven high-end
experience to add depth and redundancy.
Guild history
Merry Graverobbers, a mythic raiding guild on Stormreaver,
originating from a few friends and a highly successful late-night
Ulduar PuG on The Venture Co. We've achieved well ever since, from
securing realm 3rd Lich King heroic to clearing every tier that
followed. We intend to continue this success during Warlords of
Draenor.
We are looking for
Mature players; the majority of our guild are in their mid 20s,
and guild chat/Teamspeak tends to reflect this. We generally prefer
over 21s, but will consider younger if you can demonstrate that you
possess the maturity. You must be in complete control of your own
time, and able to fit in with this type of environment. A thick
skin is also required.
Good raiders; this should go without saying, but we're looking
for people who can play well. You should be strong on both
performing your role, and playing your class/spec. Furthermore you
should enjoy the role and spec you play; respeccing to something
we're recruiting, irrespective of if you enjoy it is neither good
for us nor you. If you're the sort of person who stands in bad
things for 2 seconds before noticing, or lets interrupts slip
through on a regular basis, you're not what we're looking for. It
is extremely beneficial, if not essential, for you to have a strong
proven record of progressing and clearing top-tier heroic (now
mythic) content.
Good communicators; we are a hugely multinational guild, but
demand that all of our members are completely fluent in English,
our primary language of communication. We require that you have a
headset and a willingness to speak on TeamSpeak during fights if
needed. Most of us strongly dislike text speak; keep this in mind
when formulating your application.
Appropriate equipment; nobody likes the guy who disconnects
every 15 minutes, or the guy who's computer keeps crashing. While
the odd technical failure is inevitable, you should have a
sufficiently powerful computer and a reliable enough internet
connection to avoid any form of regular lagging, crashing or
disconnecting.
Self sufficient; you look up fight mechanics before the raid,
come fully enchanted and gemmed with the best available to you, you
bring DPS potions to every raid. No consumables, or clearly not
knowing what's going on in a fight will get you immediately
benched.
Available; We raid on Wednesdays, Sundays, and Mondays. You
should be able to make it to all 3 of these weekly raids on a
regular basis; we will not hesitate to replace poor attenders. We
also regularly run Thursday and Tuesday raids during critical
progression periods, though not usually for more than 2-3 weeks at
a time. Our raids typically run from 19:30 - 11:00 server time, but
could possibly last longer if we're pushing for something.
Community-minded and stable; we're looking for people who fit
into our guild socially as community members, as well as being
stable/reliable with your raiding attendance, i.e. not someone who
logs on 10 minutes before a raid, logs out 5 minutes after and
won't be seen again until 10 minutes before the next.
