Our Story so far..[/11b]
Inept has a long history within WoW and we stretch back to TBC
times (albeit under a different name!). Our current core of players
has been together since late WotLK up until the present day. We
have a very solid core of loyal and skilled players and we wish to
add to this. We pride ourselves on having a high standard of
raiding whilst also having fun along the way. We feel as though we
can set high standards within a more manageable time frame. We have
built the core up over a number of years and enjoyed success along
the way because of that. We are now looking for fresh faces and
impetus to move into end game and future content with a strong and
healthy raid team. If you are looking for a guild which has high
standards but lower raiding commitments, please read on.
What we are looking for
We are looking for players who take pride in their character and
who can perform to a high standard without being told what to do
every step of the way. We want you to be able to contribute to the
raid and enjoy being in a like minded environment. We expect you to
theory craft and know what gear/setup you need by yourself. If you
cant keep up on your own, the chances are you will fall behind. We
don't want to carry anyone but if the right applicant comes along,
we are more than prepared to invest time into them if they benefit
us in the long term.
You must also need to be able to handle criticism well and learn
from it and grow as a player. We are quite a mature group of
players and to fit in you will need to understand that you will be
pushed to improve if things aren't good enough. Also, we expect you
to do the basics. Things like being prepared for raids in terms of
pots and flasks and being on time are very important to us.
Why pick Inept?
We want to raid to a high standard whilst keeping our raiding time
lower than the usual high end guild. This means we need skilled
players who put effort into the guild for the benefit of everyone.
Our basic principle in regards to players is: 'It doesn't matter if
you've been in the guild 10 years or 2 weeks, if you apply yourself
and become an exceptional player, you will become a core
raider'.
Naturally we are always looking to improve our guild In skill based
terms and also personality wise. A good environment with healthy
banter, jokes and a serious raiding edge is what you should
expect.
Loyalty is very important to us and we like to look after members
who stick with us through tough times and good times. If you have
the tendency to guild hop, this probably isn't the place for you.
If you pass your trial period with us you can expect the
following:
- Competitive environment
- Repairs paid for (raiders and members)
- Food provided for each raid
- A stable and healthy raiding environment
- A place where we reward great players no matter how long you've
been here
- End game raiding with similarly like minded people
- Out of raid activities (any of us play other games quite
alot)
Final thoughts for you
If you want to apply to us, always being on top of your class,
paying attention to theorycrafting and/or any relevant mechanic
changes, is a must. This is where I'm supposed to write "you need
to read up on new boss tactics and prepare yourself for the raids
in the best way possible". But really? This is something we take
for granted. If you can't use 15 minutes of your life to prepare
for a new boss, you shouldn't be raiding. The guild is made up of a
bunch very competitive players, and we intend to keep it that way.
While "dead dps does no dps", it's also true that "mediocre Dps
that never dies", is equally useless. Both raid/tactic awareness
and raw numbers are required. Basically, we DON'T want players who
are happy with being 2nd best.
We follow these principles and rules in order to keep the guild
moving in the same direction. We are laid back generally and can
assure anyone that this guild is one of the best around for
enjoyment and socialness. For more info please visit our forum/site
or contact any officer in game. Thankyou for reading and we hope to
raid with you in the future.
