<Storm> of Sargeras is seeking exceptional players to
push through progression encounters and competitively raid the
hardest content in the World of Warcraft.
<Storm> is a legacy guild holding a Top ranked
position on the realm. Formed in late 2004 on Gilneas,
<Storm> has consistently held top positions on Gilneas
throughout it's history. We recently relocated to Sargeras with our
entire raid team.
Applicants are expected to be ready for mythic
raiding!
(This means your gear needs to be ilvl 660 at a minimum)
~Raid Times~ : Tuesday thru Thursday 7:45-11:00 EST
(6:45-10:00 CST/Server)
~Guild Website~ : www.sargeras-storm.com
<Storm> raids with a tight, but flexible roster. We
don't recruit for a bench, but normally try to maintain at least 25
raid ready members. All raiding members of the guild are swapped in
and out for achievements and gear they need once bosses are on
farm. Every player in the guild sees progression content at one
time or another. Spots in Raids are given based on class/spec,
gear, skill, dedication, merit and drive. While we have no formal
alt policy, we strongly encourage our raiders to have at least one
additional raid-ready character AND know how to play it!
Who Storm is looking for :
Storm is looking for raiders who are in control of their own play
time and who own computers that can handle a mythic raiding
environment with a stable internet connection. We only raid for 9
hours per week, so we want raiders who can sit at the computer the
entire raid without having to AFK for various distractions around
the home. If you are going to prioritize other things during those
9 hours, do not apply.
Requirements:
100% attendance during trial period (2 full raid weeks)
80% or better attendance after trial period. You will ALWAYS be
expected to give advance notice of an absence.
Be over 18.
If you're not early for raids, you're late. We zone in at 8 so
you are expected to be online, in the right zone and ready to go
(potions, flasks, etc) before that. Do not log on at exactly 8pm
and expect a summon.
Have a basic understanding of the mechanics for any boss fight
that we may attempt.
Have raid awareness! If you have to be told over mumble if you
have a debuff or to move out of fire, you have no business raiding
mythic content.
Must speak English fluently.
Have Mumble client AND microphone AND use it.
Accept criticism if it's appropriate. If you make a mistake
once, no big deal. Repeated poor decisions or raid awareness will
be addressed individually.
Check your ego at the door. Have an open mind if someone makes
a suggestion regarding your play.
Mods: at an absolute minimum, you need to have EPGP Lootmaster,
Deadly Boss Mods or Bigwigs (preferably Bigwigs), and weakauras or
some other type of mod that will alert you if you have a particular
debuff.
No whining!
Have fun!
As a DPS class in Storm, you should be constantly looking for
ways to increase your DPS even by the smallest margins. You should
be comparing your DPS output to ALL players not just those in this
guild. If you cannot bring TOP DPS to the raid, don't bother
applying.
As a Healing class in Storm, you should be driven to increase
your healing output using the most efficient spells, abilities and
talents for each encounter. You will be expected to use any raid
healing cooldowns when required by the raid leader, not whenever
you feel like it just to pad your hps.
As a Tanking class in Storm you should have extensive experience
raid tanking and the confidence to co-lead raids and call out
pertinent information on mumble. Storm's tanks should have the
ability to maximize threat output and the knowledge to gear for
each encounter individually if the content requires it.
As a raider in this guild you should prioritize raiding as much
as anyone else in the guild does. You should not take missing raids
lightly. We expect high attendance and enthusiasm to raid
regardless of the content.
Raid Environment :
This is a serious raid guild populated by adults that communicate
on Mumble. Trash is cleared lightheartedly and efficiently, but
boss fights are tightly executed with only the necessary info
communicated through Mumble. Sometimes, Mumble can get a bit
raunchy (all in good fun) but if you are the easily offended type,
this is probably not the place for you.
Storm uses a loot council that awards gear based on merit,
playskill, attendance and/or overall guild needs should such
circumstances arise. Our guild bank provides raiders with flasks,
potions, and repairs while raiding. Trials are expected to use
their own consumables.
