Pendulum's a guild established in 2011 by a core of
experienced adult raiders who wanted a social environment with a
commitment to raiding.
HISTORY OF PENDULUM
We started playing together in WoTLK, where we had the same guild
on another realm. Eventually our old realm was dead, and we moved
to Kazzak in 2011, where we rebuilt the guild.
We used to raid 3 days per week, but we decided to cut down the
raiding time to 2 days per week, as many of us unfortunately don't
have enough time for the game anymore. For this reason, we recently
have gone through a guild split (December 2014), due to some former
guildies who felt it was better to go a bit more "hardcore" than we
wanted to, and created a new guild - thus we are now a mixture of
veteran warcraft players with a lot of raid experience, and newer
players.
In this current expansion we have the following progress so
far:

WHY CHOOSE PENDULUM?
We as a guild, strive to help all our members no matter what rank
they hold within the guild. Raiders are not the only important
players to us. We have ranks for all schools of players; from
people who just want to have fun when online, to players who are
ready and able to progress in the newest game content.
We are looking primarily at your person, not your character in
joining us. We can help to gear/play with you, but priority #1 is
for you to fit with our group of individuals. As already mentioned,
we are mature adults, looking for other mature adults (with
twisted/great senses of humor). Pendulum has always focused on the
person rather than the epics. If you are going to rage out after a
few wipes then we are not the place for you.
We are not a place for over emotional, arrogant, leet type players.
We are looking for people who enjoy the whole WoW experience, not
just raid fillers. We are a community based on achieving the same
goals based on a strong group of players that have the thirst to
challenge themselves with whatever the game has to offer. Above
all, respect for our fellow guildies and community is what our
guild is based and will always be based on. Though all we can see
is your avatar, we want to know and trust the player pushing the
buttons. So, if you only want to log for raids, then we are not the
place for you. We want active people that want to have fun and like
to experience more than just end game content. We raid with the aim
of experiencing everything WoW has to offer, without the break neck
speed and pressure that we have seen cause burn out and problems
for other guilds. We are a relaxed group who like to have a laugh,
we dont take things too seriously and when we wipe, we move on and
we pretend people to not make a big fuss about wipes. Learn and
keep trying until we get the damn boss down! So there's no pressure
in here!
Our aim is to recruit players who enjoy the game for what it is (a
Video-Game), and not stress after it like no-lifer kids do. People
who have a real life outside the game, a job, family, kids... who
yet want to raid latest content in a peaceful environment, on a
very casual basis.
The social side of our guild is very laid back while the raid side
still abides by strict and transparent rules (which you can find on
our website), to ensure that while having fun, we can progress
without drama or delays.
Joining Pendulum means joining a big family of friends! As such, if
you're hired as a Raider, we will never scream at you in unfriendly
manners, or punish you for making mistakes during a raid encounter.
You're a friend for us, and we will threat you as such (and expect
you to do the same towards the rest of the guild). This does not
mean that we will not tell you when you're doing mistakes (we
always expect you to perform at your best), but our policy and
approach to human reactions and mistakes is more friendly way than
other guilds :) We expect people to fail while learning an
encounter, we laugh about it, and hope that you do better next
time, that's all.
HOW DOES PENDULUM WORKS
- We use PlantainDKP System (you can read more about it on our
Website, or download the Add-On from Curse at
http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/plantaindkp);
- Raiding days: Thursday and Sunday;
- Raiding times: 19:45 through 23:00 Server Time (Raid Invites at
19.45, 1ST Pull at 20.00)
- We use Mumble (MAC users friendly)
WHAT DOES PENDULUM OFFER?
- 2 Days per week raids (Thursday and Sunday), from 19.45 through
23.00;
- Only 6 hours per week official raiding - that means plenty
of time to spend for your studies, for your family, for your kids
(if you have kids) or for your fiancee;
- ALT raids (organized in unofficial days and NOT mandatory);
- Guild Bank Repairs for all players with rank "Member" or above
(players that raid in our official raids);
- Fun relaxed social raiding guild who enjoy the social aspect of
WoW as much as the raid side of things. We have a fairly decent
balance of male female/members;
- We require no 100% commitment to the raids - noone is forced to
raid, we are not a hard core raiding guild, but if you apply
for a Raiding Position, we expect some sort of reasonable
attendance (ie. do not apply if you cannot hold an average
attendance to the raids);
- We will NEVER force you to play a Spec you don't like. If you are
hired, you will be hired with the spec you like and you will not be
asked to change that (unless you feel confident with your OS, and
it is preferable for some fights);
- Stability and a well organised and structured environment for
raiding with clear and transparent policies;
- Guild competitions, a full and well stocked guild bank (available
upon trial completion), help from our experienced players if needed
and basically a fun and active environment, that actually does have
guild chat!

- Videos of the guild during raids;
- Warcraft Logs for every official raid;
WHAT IS PENDULUM LOOKING FOR?
- You must be a motivated, active and enthusiastic player, and you
must know your class inside out, with a strong willingness to learn
and of course plenty of patience;
- A minimum of ilvl 645+ Gear (for raiding positions),
although we will evaluate everyone interested on a case by case
basis. We believe in the old school motto: Skillz >
Gear!;
- You might be asked to bench out of the raid when particular raid
setups is required (should the raid team require a different
class/spec balance), or simply because we feel you are having a bad
day and not playing well - we expect you to not complain about
decisions taken by officers, which in any case will always be
compliant with the guild policies you have accepted when applying
for our guild
