Denial of Service is a World of Warcraft guild on Burning Blade-US.
We are an end game raiding guild focused on progression. We provide
and maintain a relaxed raiding environment, which allows our group
to thrive on cooperation and competition. We require that all of
our members possess the following qualities:
Desire - You must have the desire to progress through new
content. We do not want players getting frustrated and leaving
after two or three attempts on a new encounter.
Mastery - We expect all of our members to understand all of
the intricacies of their class. We expect all of our members to
create a best-in-slot gear list each tier. Secondly, we expect all
of our members to correctly gem, enchant, and reforge their gear.
Finally, we expect that our members will know what are the best
talents and glyphs for their class and know what the best rotation
is to optimize their character for the raid group. We do not want
members who do not understand these concepts or are not adequately
geared for progression.
Awareness - It is important that are members possess raid
awareness. We do not want members who cannot understand raid
mechanics and cannot be given an assignment during an encounter
because they cannot be relied upon.
Maturity - We do not want members who complain and cause
drama for others. We promote a relaxed raiding environment and we
do not want members who will endanger that. In addition, it is
important that all of members can attend almost all of the raids in
a given tier. We only raid twice a week, so it is important that we
have our best lineup available as much as possible. We do not
tolerate members who do not show up without any warning.
Progression
Tier 16: 14/14 Normal, 14/14 Heroic
Tier 15: 12/12 Normal, 6/13 Heroic
Tier 14: 16/16 Normal
Tier 13: 8/8 Normal, 8/8 Heroic
Tier 12: 7/7 Normal, 6/7 Heroic
Tier 11: 12/12 Normal
Loot System
Unfortunately there is not a perfect loot system, but we feel that
our system is very fair and ensures that members will get the best
gear available if it drops. When loot drops, members /roll in chat
if the current conditions apply to them. We go through these
conditions sequentially:
Main Spec (Best-in-Slot) > Main Spec > Off Spec (Used By
Raid) > Off Spec > Disenchant
The purpose of the best-in-slot list is to ensure that two or more
players share a loot table fairly. We do not want a player
receiving an item just because it's for their main spec, as that
item might be better for someone else. If the gear is not
best-in-slot main spec for anyone, then anyone that can use the
item for their main spec, regardless of whether it is best-in-slot
or not, can roll on the item.
The reason why we have two different off spec conditions is because
we do not want gear going to off specs that are not used by our
raid group. If an off spec is used on certain encounters, then that
member receives priority over someone who never switches specs
during our raids. If no one is interested, the item is disenchanted
and the materials are put in the guild bank.
Recruitment
If you are interested in joining our guild, it is imperative that
you possess the qualities described. Any applicants who are
recruited to join the guild will be given up to a one-month trial
period. The officers reserve the right to end this period sooner if
they feel that a recruit is worthy of becoming a full member
immediately or that they should be removed from the guild due to
performance. Recruits are not allow to receive loot unless no one
else in the group wants it. Please fill out the application on the
website and we will get back to you!
