About Us
<Transcend> is a relatively new guild formed by a group of
veteran players who have been raiding competitively since
Vanilla/BC. Having started WOD with a core group of just 10-15
players, we rapidly expanded our roster for 20 man Mythic and were
the 9th guild on Proudmoore to defeat Mythic Twin Ogron. We pride
ourselves on our ability to clear challenging content on a light
raiding schedule (only 7.5 hours per week). As we consolidate our
20 man roster further, we expect to break back into the server top
10 (if not better) in Mythic Blackrock Foundry.
Raid Times
We raid Tues/Wed/Sun 7:30pm - 10:00pm PST. We expect all raiders to
be online by 7:00pm. Raid times may be extended slightly (no more
than 30 minutes) during hard progression.
What Kind of Players are We Looking For?
While we prefer to recruit specific roles/specs at any given time
(see recruitment demand above), there are many other criteria that
we consider during recruitment. We would much rather recruit an
excellent, reliable player who plays a suboptimal spec (for our
raid composition) than a poor, unreliable player who happens to
play the ideal spec.
Here are some of the qualities that we look for in a potential
recruit:
1. High attendance (at least 95%).
2. Long-term commitment to raiding with the guild (plan on raiding
with us for at least the next 6 months, ideally more).
3. Passion for progression raiding (if multiple days of progression
wiping on a difficult boss sounds like a bad time to you, we may
not be a good fit for you).
4. High raid performance, which includes the following: mastery of
your class/spec, excellent raid awareness, proficiency in handling
raid encounter mechanics, good communication, solid computer and
internet connection.
5. Competitive mindset (you should aim to be the best at your
role).
6. Friendly, agreeable personality. You must be willing to put the
needs of the guild above your own at all times, which might mean
sometimes switching specs or occasionally sitting on the bench (we
expect to have no more than 2 people on the bench at any given
time). You must be receptive to constructive criticism.
Is Transcend a Good Fit For You?
During progression, our raid atmosphere is one of focus and
efficiency. After a wipe, we aim to quickly figure out exactly what
went wrong and how it can be fixed. Expect constructive criticism.
On the other hand, during farm content, trash, or outside of the
official raid times, we have a very laid-back atmosphere with lots
of joking around. Many of our players have been friends for many
years. We do not tolerate drama of any kind.
Loot is distributed by a loot council, which assigns loot in such a
way that benefits the guild the most.
We provide all core raiders with guild repairs, food, flasks,
potions, tonics, and even enchants and gems.
Why Are We Only 2/7 in Mythic Highmaul?
Due to real life obligations, a handful of our core players had to
take an extended leave from the game shortly after our Mythic Twins
kill. Over the past few weeks we have been rebuilding our roster,
and we expect to complete this process in time for Mythic BRF,
allowing us to progress more quickly.
