The Gauntlet is a 25man raid guild that is currently looking for a
few extra dps to help further progression. The majority of our
members are 25+ and although we do not have an age restriction for
applicants, we expect guild members to have a decent level of
maturity. However, that is not to say that we are super serious as
there is plenty of humour and banter within the guild between
members both in guild chat and on ventrilo.

What we expect from you:
Dedication to the guild and its raiding goals.
Complete knowledge of your class, how to gear and spec it. It's
something that we expect people to have put a lot of thought into
so their character can be the best it can be.
Excellent raid performance goes without saying. This means you must
be experienced in high-end raid content and able to play your class
to a high standard.
Have a competitive nature as you will have to earn your raid spot
and show that you are the best person for the job. You must be
confident in what you are doing and want to show that you can do it
to a high standard.
Always be prepared for raids, whether your sitting out for what
ever reason or not, we expect people to be prepared with
appropriate raiding consumables/gemmed and enchanted gear.
Have a friendly attitude towards your guild mates. Be willing to
help out others when you can and you will find other members will
do the same for you in return.
Be a team player ie not a self orientated elitist, you don't cry
over loot or raid spots and you are not a drama queen or know it
all.
You must strive to improve your performance at all times and not
take offense from constructive criticism.
Be predictable with your online times. Everyone has to AFK for RL
at some point. Please give us prior notice of this via the
forums.
You must be fluent in English, both written and spoken. You must
also have Ventrilo and Mumble installed and preferably a working
microphone.
For 25 man runs we distribute all loot with the EPGP system. For
our 10 man runs we use the inbuilt roll in the EPGP addon with main
spec on mains beating offspecs and alts) overseen by a Loot
Council. There is no DKP. We take the point of view that loot is a
tool - not a reward - and therefore it is given out according to
how it best benefits the guild based upon the amount of effort put
in over a period of time. This means factors such what class an
item is the best for, player performance, how many top-end hardmode
items people have looted and what we need to clear the next
encounter etc.
What to expect from us:
Stability, we have been a top end guild on Nordrassil for over 8
years.
We have a very strong community within the guild. A friendly and
jokey atmosphere that is great fun to be part of once you get used
to it. We also have a great community here on the website and
encourage all new recruits to take an active role in that.
We are currently on a 3 night a week raiding schedule with a fourth
optional night on a tuesday for progression / clear up. That
doesn't mean there is no time for alt runs or occassional old
content runs on other nights though.
We take our raiding seriously because that's the only way you can
be succesfull at raiding current content before it's nerfed into
the ground. But we don't expect any impossible attendance
percentages either. Real life > WoW, simple as that.
If you have time to raid 6 nights a week, we're probably not the
guild for you. If you however, like us, have a lot of other things
that require your attention but you still want to raid current
endgame content in a 25 man setting a couple of nights a week, then
we are the guild for you.
So if you are tired of your 10 man guild or of your 5-6 nights a
week raiding schedule, or are an old TG member that wants to
return, or have always wanted to apply to one of the oldest guilds
on the server with a long history of succesfull raiding but were
afraid to, just go to our website and leave an application.
