GENERAL INFORMATION:
Hypnosis was founded in February of 2010. The original members were all in an Alliance guild which ran 25 man content and two 10 man raids each week. We were all members of one of the 10 man teams and decided we preferred the 10 man content to 25 mans. We re-rolled Horde and Hypnosis was born.

Our members have a vast amount of raiding experience - many have raided content stemming back to vanilla WoW, even more in TBC and some who started playing in WotLK only. While our resume does not reveal world first kills or achievements accomplished by no other, what does grant us a modicum of pride is that we have achieved our goals of progression while maintaining a casual raid atmosphere.

Here is a bit more information about us, so you can decide if we're what you're looking for. We're a small 10 man guild. We run with an 11-13 man raiding roster. Currently we're at 11. What this means is we have raiders who sit every raid. What happens more often than not is real life issues pop up so it's really not too much of a problem. We use a raid rotation list, and as you sit you get moved to the bottom. All raiders are on the list no matter what their role is. We try not to make raid composition based on boss or strategy. It has happened, but we try to just go off the list. It keeps things fair. There are no repercussions for not making raids, unless it becomes a habit, and we’re not getting any prior warning. It's more of a courtesy issue.

We are not too concerned with gear for recruits. Being a small guild we're looking more for a personality fit, and can you play your class well. We are a VERY laid back guild, who enjoys raiding together. We only raid 2 nights per week for 3 hours each. Even with an easy raiding schedule we still have managed to get to 12/12 Regular and 3/12 HMs in Cataclysm and 12/13 HM in ICC when it was current content. We’ve done this by working together and keeping drama to a minimum, so maturity and personality are very important to us, and have been the keys to our success.

Our members range from college students to lawyers, 21-41 years of age. We have a few couples that raid together, and lots of kids hanging on coat tails in the back ground, thus we have a few diaper breaks during raids. Like they say, "@#@! happens". With all that goes on, we keep the mumble chat curse free.

We have no true rank structure. You're either a Raider or you're not. All Raiders have equal say and votes on any guild issues whether it's what direction progression should be, to silly things like do we go to BoT or BWD first tonight. We do have a GM but it’s just an admin piece.

We are currently guild level 25. The Guild Bank provides all repairs all the time, and flasks are also provided via cauldrons. Food/Pot Buffs are not provided.

Loot is distributed via the in-game “Need / Greed” system. Being a close-knit group, trust is everything, so we don’t feel the need to use any DKP, Loot Counsel, or Suicide King system. We all understand that loot for one, is a gain for all.

If the guild votes you in, then you get invited as a recruit for 4-6 weeks. This is to ensure you're a good fit for us. After the 4-6 weeks we vote to make you a raider or ask you to leave. As long as it's 100% you're a "Raider". It sounds complicated and hard, but it's a very easy process. Trust me I went through it too.
